WHERE TO ELOPE IN JAPAN

Somewhere you will always know differently.

Tochigi

Choosing where to elope is choosing a place that will become part of how you tell your story. You may already know what draws you there. You may find the answer while exploring the possibilities together.

We begin with what you want to experience. How much time would you love outdoors? Is there a stay you have been talking about for years? Does art, food or a particular landscape tend to lead your travels? Those interests help us recommend a place for your promises and a day you are excited to live around them.

When a view has brought you all this way

Mount Fuji and the Fuji Five Lakes offer one direction for couples who feel a connection to the mountain. We look at the ceremony location alongside the stay, the meal and the time you want by the water. Fuji’s visibility changes with conditions, so we choose a setting you will enjoy throughout the day.

Cherry blossoms bring a different kind of anticipation. Meagan and Dakota’s elopement in Aomori is one of the northern experiences in our own work; Nagano offers another direction to explore. Timing varies by region and year. We discuss the season and useful flexibility while developing a day with more than one thing to look forward to.

When you want the city to become personal

Tokyo can connect a private ceremony with a meal or an urban setting you have been waiting to experience. Kyoto may draw you toward the relationship between a garden, its architecture and the rooms around it. In either city, we explore where your vows can have privacy and attention, and how the time afterwards can follow your interests.

A city you once knew as visitors can become somewhere you know through your marriage. It is a very good reason to come back.

When the stay is part of the story

A ryokan can give the whole experience a shape: the welcome, the rooms, the garden, the food and the time to settle in. Hakone is one possibility, with others across Japan.

Restored houses in Yamanashi and a farmhouse stay in Kiso, Nagano, offer other ways to spend several days in a place, with your ceremony at the center of the visit. During booked planning, we explore the specific property and scope together. Accommodation is additional to the core elopement fee.

When a shared interest leads the way

Art took one couple to a private villa in Nara, an art forest and a pottery studio in Mie, where they made two halves of a moon vase. Their day is a useful glimpse of how an interest can connect places you might not have put together yourselves.

The same curiosity can take a search toward architecture, makers or regional food. We bring our knowledge of Japan and its people; you bring the things that keep catching your attention.

When you want mountains, or the sea

Hakuba in Nagano and Niseko in Hokkaido each bring their own journey, seasons and places to stay. We consider the landscape alongside warmth, access and the experiences you want around the ceremony.

For the coast, the search might lead toward Shizuoka’s tea country and Izu, or further south to Miyakojima. These are different ways to experience Japan, with different travel and ceremony arrangements. Your preference for how to spend the day helps us choose between them.

From a possibility to a place for your wedding

We confirm the use of each setting with the people responsible for it. Ceremony permissions, portrait access, privacy, travel and the time of year all inform the recommendation. Promising unfamiliar properties receive an in-person visit before we ask you to commit.

Elopements start from ¥1M, including planning, 37 Frames photography and most location permits. Accommodation, transport, dining and other chosen elements are additional. Film and wedding content creation are optional additions.

You do not need to settle on a region before inquiring. Tell us what you hope the journey will hold. Finding where it belongs is part of our work together.
