WEDDINGS & ELOPEMENTS IN MIYAKOJIMA, OKINAWA

Bring your people to the islands.

Miyakojima

There’s the invitation, and then there’s the thought of everyone having a few days in Miyakojima together. A welcome dinner. Time by the sea. Your wedding to look forward to.

That time can be part of what you’re giving each other: the chance to settle in, meet one another and enjoy being somewhere you’ve chosen with care. You can share the celebration without needing every hour of the trip to be a group activity.

Our own work includes the first wedding at Rosewood Miyakojima. We plan weddings and elopements here with the stay, the design and the photography considered together, around what you want this island visit to mean to the two of you.

Together, with room to do your own thing

We look at the places you’ll naturally find one another, as well as the ceremony view. The rooms, the shared spaces and the arrangements for dinner all shape how it feels to stay here as a group.

Some couples want everyone close by for several days. Others prefer one main celebration, with guests making their own plans around it. Both can be generous. We’ll work out what you’d love to share, and leave room for people to enjoy the island in their own way.

And if you’re picturing a party, tell us early. We need the space, music arrangements and event hours to support the evening you want.

Your point of view, by the sea

The sea will have a presence. What you do with the setting can be entirely personal.

We work with your references and the property’s architecture, materials and light. A coastal ceremony and an evening indoors can feel different while still belonging to the same wedding. We’re interested in how you want that change to feel, as well as how it looks.

Our planning and Creative Team develop those decisions together. Shade, wind and time outdoors matter to the experience, and an alternative setting needs to be somewhere you’d be happy to celebrate. The photographs should belong to a day you’re enjoying.

The two of you, and an island to get to know

For an elopement, we begin with where you’d love to make your promises and how you want to spend the day around them. You may want to settle into one place, with dinner close by, or take time to see more of the coast together.

We work through privacy, access and the journey between places while developing the timing. A beach ceremony depends on the location and permissions, which we confirm for your actual plans.

A place you’ve been looking forward to visiting can become somewhere you’ll always connect with being newly married. That is a good reason to leave a little time to enjoy it.

Getting here is part of the planning

Miyakojima is in Okinawa Prefecture, separate from Okinawa’s main island. We plan around the actual island journey, wedding-related accommodation and transfers, with room for guests to arrive and settle in. Weather and travel contingencies belong in those preparations too.

For personal holidays beyond the wedding program, we can introduce Awayuki as a separate, optional service. Your guests may have their own ideas about how long to stay. We suspect a few of them will.
