WEDDINGS & ELOPEMENTS IN TOKYO

Tokyo has range. So can your wedding.

Tokyo

For one of our Tokyo couples, the day began with preparations at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, continued into a Japanese house and garden with two violinists, and moved on to cocktails and dinner at JAM 17 above Shinjuku. Each setting brought something different to the celebration.

That is a Tokyo possibility we love: you can bring together very different things because they mean something to the same two people. A garden and a rooftop. A family ritual and a contemporary evening. An intimate ceremony followed by a very good party.

Tokyo is home to 37 Frames. We plan weddings and elopements here with the curiosity of people who still find plenty to be excited about in their own city.

Which parts of the city feel like you?

You may have a Tokyo you already know well: somewhere you return to, a meal you remember, a neighborhood you would happily spend another day in. Or your wedding may be the reason you finally make the trip. Both give us something to work with.

We consider how the ceremony, the meal and the evening can express those interests. One address might offer everything. Two settings might create the change of atmosphere you want. The travel between them needs just as much thought as the arrival: where guests gather, how they reach the next place, and how much time you have to enjoy each part.

The city offers an enormous amount. Our role is to make a thoughtful choice with you.

Give dinner and the evening their due

If food is one of the reasons you love Tokyo, it deserves to influence the plans early. The kind of meal you want, the way it is served and the conversations you hope will happen around it help us choose a setting.

Music can take the evening somewhere else again. We discuss the sound, spaces and hours with the property while the idea is developing. A reception that moves into dancing needs that intention built into its arrangements.

Our planning and Creative Team work together on the art direction, light and flow. The atmosphere you experience and the photographs you take home begin with many of the same decisions.

A private commitment within a very big city

For an elopement, we look for somewhere you can give your vows your full attention. A traditional house or garden might be the starting point; a particular meal or an interest in architecture can shape what follows. We connect the ceremony with the Tokyo you’d love to experience together.

There is something lasting about making this city personal in that way. On a future visit, you will know exactly where you stood, what you said and where you went afterwards. Among all the reasons to return, you will have one that belongs to your marriage.

Welcoming your people to Tokyo

A welcome dinner can give friends and family time to find one another before the wedding. Clear accommodation, transfer and event information helps them enjoy the trip around it. We include wedding-related guest coordination within full planning and discuss dietary, accessibility and family needs while choosing the arrangements.

Every wedding we plan is photographed by 37 Frames. For weddings with guests, photography is scoped separately from planning. Film and wedding content creation are optional additions.

For couple-only elopements, planning, 37 Frames photography and most location permits are included together in the core fee.

Tell us about your Tokyo, including the parts you have yet to see. We would love to help you make something of them.
