WEDDING PLANNING FEES & BUDGETS IN JAPAN
Let’s give
the ideas
some numbers.
Mt Fuji
A wedding budget is a way of deciding what you want to make possible. More time with your people. A property you can settle into together. A meal that is part of the reason for coming to Japan. The photographs you already know you will want on the wall.
We begin with those priorities and the investment you have in mind, then put the costs beside the ideas. It is a useful conversation, and often an exciting one: you begin to see which choices will make the greatest difference to the experience.
What you are asking us to create
Guest numbers give us a starting point. The place and the plans tell us much more. A dinner in a restaurant with its own team and equipment involves different work from a celebration on private grounds where the kitchen, lighting and shelter need to be brought in. A small gathering can ask a great deal of its setting.
The same is true of the days around the wedding. A welcome drink, a fully produced welcome celebration and a shared stay each need a different scope. We look at the whole invitation before developing the proposal, so the time you want together has a clear place in the budget.

The planning fee and the celebration budget
Our planning fee covers the professional work: venue and supplier sourcing, art direction, budget oversight, timelines, production, wedding-related logistics, guest coordination and management of the celebration. Your proposal describes the responsibilities and agreed scope.
The wider wedding budget covers the celebration itself: the venue, food and drinks, accommodation, flowers, music, transport, rentals and other suppliers. Every wedding we plan uses 37 Frames photography, which is scoped separately for weddings. Film and wedding content creation are optional additions.
Substantial additional events may need a separate planning scope and fee. Supplier contracts and payment routes also vary; we explain the actual arrangements for your wedding.
Understanding the costs before you book
We explain our own services and fees before you commit to working with us. Detailed venue research and tailored quotations are part of the planning service, beginning once you’ve booked and your planning period is underway. We use your guest numbers, priorities and agreed budget to approach places that make sense for your celebration.
For the two of you
Elopements for two start from ¥1M, including planning, 37 Frames photography and most location permits. Accommodation, transport, dining, flowers, hair and makeup, a celebrant and any other experiences you choose are additional. Film and content creation can be added separately.
We develop the proposal around the day, rather than assume that every couple wants the same combination. A stay that matters to you can be central to the plan. So can the freedom to move between places. We’ll help you understand what each direction involves.
What the investment becomes in Japan
The care here can be extraordinary. You experience it in the meal, in the work of the people making it, and in how thoughtfully you and your guests are welcomed. Those qualities deserve a place beside the visual decisions.
We pay attention to where the investment will be felt. If dinner is the heart of your celebration, the food, service and time at the table need to support that. If bringing everyone together for a stay is the reason for traveling, the rooms and shared spaces matter from the beginning. Your priorities give the numbers their purpose.

Site visits and working in yen
An already-inspected venue carries no additional sourcing charge simply because it is outside Tokyo. For venue sourcing outside Tokyo, one site visit is included in the planning fee. Subsequent visits are charged at the associated travel and accommodation cost, without an additional planning or consulting fee for those visits. We discuss the travel arrangements within your project’s scope.
Our proposals and working budgets are in Japanese yen. If your starting figure is in another currency, tell us which one and what it includes. We’ll establish a yen budget together so that the venue, supplier and professional fees can be considered on the same basis.
Begin with what matters most
Tell us about your plans, preferred season, approximate guest count and budget. For couples hoping to work with us, our reply includes our Collections and Wedding Planning guides. If the timing and ideas align, we’ll invite you to a complimentary one-hour Zoom after you’ve had time to read them. A tailored proposal follows when we’re ready to take the next step together.
